Dr.Ramas was Assistant Professor of Surgical Oncology at the Adayar Cancer Institute, Chennai until 2020 following which she became an independent consultant for Gastrointestinal Laparoscopic and General Surgery. She has presented her research at over a dozen national important scientific meetings. Her work is largely related to GI tract, but she has also shared her experiences with non-GI disorders which present as abdominal emergencies, such as aneurysms and hemangiomas of liver.
