After MBBS, I did my post-graduation in General Surgery at Apollo hospitals, Chennai. During this time I was exposed to a lot of Laparoscopic surgical procedures and Gastrointestinal surgical procedures. I further gained a formal training in Minimal Access surgery(Laparoscopic and Robotic surgery) at Delhi. I worked as an Associate to a renowned Surgical Gastroenterogist Dr.Patta Radhakrishna and gained experience in a variety of complex Gastrointestinal problems. I also worked for a short while at Mumbai and at Cancer Institute Adyar and this enhanced my understanding and shifted my perspectives.You can see my certifications here.

When a patient is operated upon and gets discharged on the same day of surgery, we call it a day care procedure.
Yes, you can have a bath 48 hours after the surgery. Sometimes the dressing is made waterproof for additional protection.
Anything prepared at home is what I recommend at the time of discharge from the hospital. If there are any specific dietary recommendations related to your disease condition, it will be mentioned.

An online consultation has its own limitations as it lacks the most important clinical examination part which is required to arrive at a diagnosis. Patients who live far away can consult online and get an idea of what to expect. The online consultation would be followed up by a physical consultation when the patient is ready for travel.
